Flex Speaks — 'Y'all Are Out, Never to Return': The On-Air Response, Decoded

Glowgetters — chyyy, the mic finally turned ON. Thursday on Hot 97, Funk Flex sat at his own board and told his WHOLE side of the Delta Lounge story — and the desk is handing you every quote, verbatim, exactly as he said it. Read the original pattern decode first if you're late; this is the sequel.
THE SETTING. Tuesday, Oct 20 — the Knicks' home opener against the 76ers at Madison Square Garden, Delta Lounge. That's the room where the beef with music exec Shadow Stokes and his wife, former Hot 97 host TT Torrez, went from whispers to headlines. Two days later, Flex addressed it on air — and per Complex's account of the broadcast, here's his story.
'HIT ME FIRST, SO I CAN SUE YOU.' Per Flex, Stokes was whispering profanities at him — and Flex swears he kept it cute: "Man, stop it, you know you still love me. I love you anyway." He says he and Stokes go way back — "I've never seen a guy grind" like him. Then, per Flex, it turned: Stokes called him a "puppet," a "pawn," and "broke" — "He said, 'I'm a millionaire, I'm rich.'" And the line Flex says came FIVE OR SIX TIMES: "Hit me first, so I can sue you."
THE PAYOUT THEORY. This is the part Flex leaned ALL the way on: "I work for MediaCo./Hot 97 and they have a case against Hot 97. If I would have touched him in any way or form, I'm a MediaCo. employee and they would've filed their papers that I was hitting him on behalf of the company for a big payout." And: "Y'all were going for, y'all are married, I touch him and then you get paid out." Translation, per Flex: the whole thing was LAWSUIT BAIT — his hands stayed still on purpose.
THE DRINK + THE OUT. Per Flex, Stokes then threw a drink on him. And the sentence Flex says ended everything: "You know what I said to him after that, that really sent him over the top. Y'all are out, never to return. Never to come back in. Y'all… are out. I don't know what they're talking about pushing, but that's what sent him over the edge." Read that back — in the same breath, he denied the pushing allegation that made the headlines.
THE OTHER SIDE, STILL STANDING. Let the desk be clear, baby: Torrez — through a rep — has said Flex "shoved her violently" in that lounge, and NOTHING in Thursday's broadcast retracts her statement. His claims are his claims; hers are hers. Both are on the record, and the desk holds BOTH.
"GOOD PEOPLE, BUT..." And the plot twist nobody had on the card: Flex called the couple GOOD PEOPLE. "I've known those two for a long time. They're actually good people, but they've let that music industry and that greed turn them into different people." His receipt? Per Flex, Torrez checked on him EVERY NIGHT after his mother died. That's the saddest line in the whole saga, Glowgetters — somebody who used to call.
THE MSG BAN. Flex confirmed he was briefly banned from Madison Square Garden after the incident — and says that's since been resolved. So the world's most famous arena pressed pause on one of its loudest regulars, then quietly let him back in.
THE DESK'S READ. Here's what the desk sees from the cheap seats: if the "hit me first so I can sue you" line happened like Flex says, five or six times is not a mood — that's a SCRIPT. And a man who keeps his hands still while a drink is flying is a man doing math, not acting soft. BUT — and the desk does not skip the but — a statement that says a woman was "shoved violently" doesn't dissolve because the other party gave a funnier interview. Somebody's account doesn't match somebody else's, and until a tape, a lawsuit or a statement moves, BOTH stories stay on the board.
THE FINE PRINT. Per Complex (Jose Martinez, Oct 22, 2026) — Flex's account of the Oct 20 Knicks-76ers season opener incident at MSG's Delta Lounge, aired Thursday Oct 22 on Hot 97; all Flex quotes verbatim via Complex. His allegations about Stokes and Torrez (the profanities, "puppet"/"pawn"/"broke," the five-or-six-times "hit me first, so I can sue you," the drink, the payout theory) are FLEX'S CLAIMS made on air, unverified by the desk. TT Torrez, through a rep, has stated Flex "shoved her violently" during the altercation — that claim also stands unadjudicated; no charges have been announced in this saga and all parties are presumed innocent of any wrongdoing. Flex's Instagram denial of being punched ("YOU WISH I GOT PUNCHED IN THE FACE!") and the reported MSG ban, since resolved, are per Complex. The couple's response to Thursday's broadcast — if any — is pending, and the desk will be watching.
Glowgetters, the group chat is OPEN: team "Flex told it clean — the sue-me-first script explains everything," team "a statement said shoved violently — that part hasn't moved," or team "drop the clip and let the tape talk." Come argue with me.

Morgan's verdict
"Flex says it was lawsuit bait — "hit me first, so I can sue you," five or six times, then a drink. Torrez's side still says he shoved her violently. Two accounts, one lounge, no tape on the desk yet — and the pattern question is still open."
